Upon becoming the 44th President, Barack Obama revealed that he'd promised a dog to his daughters, Sasha and Malia. The Portuguese water dog was a gift from the late Senator Edward Kennedy and his wife Victoria. "We all have to take turns walking the dog," the President warned on the day Bo was introduced to the world back in April 2009. Eldest daughter Malia simply said, "I love him, he's perfect." Further details would trickle out thanks to the rather tongue-in-cheek baseball card the White House would release about him. Tomatoes are Bo's favorite food and he doesn't know how to swim. The Washington Post was granted exclusive access to Bo and revealed, "Bo's a handsome little guy. Well suited for formal occasions at the White House, he's got tuxedo-black fur, with a white chest, white paws and a rakish white goatee." Financial disclosure forms released by President Obama last year showed that Bo is worth $1,600. Naturally though, one imagines that in the eyes of the first family, he's priceless.
