The 1985 Richard Donner classic The Goonies depicts a rambunctious group of kids on the hunt for a treasure that could save their town of Astoria, Ore., from being razed to expand a local country club. Little Mikey Walsh finds an ancient map that seems to lead to the long-lost treasure of 17th century pirate One-Eyed Willie. Mikey and his pals follow the trail and pursue adventure after adventure all in the name of the "Goon Docks" what they call their neighborhood. In the end, because Goonies never say die, the kids find the treasure and the skull of One-Eyed Willie and save their homes from destruction.
