Fidel Castro tours Chile during his first trip to South America in 12 years. The Cuban leader encourages Chilean miners to step up production, reassuring Chile's Marxist President, Salvador Allende Gossens, that his country's unions will not get out of hand. Says a miner: "Fidel made us see the importance of our producing more. Now we are all Fidelistas."
