The Beatles are in Washington, and Lucy Baines Johnson, 16, wants to swing by the British embassy to greet the Liverpool lads and maybe invite them home. Her father, the Commander in Chief, puts his foot down but promises instead that Lucy can serve as queen of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in April.
