Originally priced at $899 and first introduced at COMDEX in 1992, the IBM Simon was part mobile phone, part PDA, part pager and part fax machine. It even included apps like a calendar, calculator, address book and world clock. It had no physical buttons for navigation; instead it had a touchscreen that could be poked and prodded with a finger or stylus.
