Antoine Dodson has gone from an average Joe to a viral-video star to a money-making musician, all at the speed of YouTube. Dodson first gained Internet fame after a clip of him ranting on local TV about an attempted assault on his sister at the Huntsville, Ala. housing project where they both lived was posted online. His over-the-top remarks gained popularity, and then were Auto-Tuned by The Gregory Brothers, who make their living turning viral hits into music sensations. When the song made it to iTunes, Dodson got half the profits. Not only did he make enough money to buy a house in a safer neighborhood, but he also gained enough fame to perform at the BET Awards this weekend. So run and tell that, homeboy.
