Not many movies inspire a religion, but the Coen brothers' 1998 slacker epic The Big Lebowski actually has one. It's called Dudeism, named after the movie's passive, abiding main character, the Dude. Followers of Dudeism belong to the Church of the Latter-Day Dude (we're not making this up) and follow the mantra, "Just take it easy, man." The film can also claim its own festival: Lebowski Fest is held every year in Louisville, Ky., (similar events have also popped up in other cities) and is a celebration of bowling, White Russians and all things Lebowski.
