Palin delivers the keynote address at the Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia Investors' Forum in Hong Kong in what is her first paid postresignation speaking engagement and her first trip to the continent. In her speech, which was closed to the press, the former governor hits Obama on weakening "security commitments" in Asia. Representative Howard Berman, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, calls her assertions "flat wrong." In his statement, Berman says, "In remarks before business leaders in Hong Kong, former governor Palin urged China to 'rise responsibly.' As she continues on the lecture circuit, Ms. Palin would do well to take her own advice."
