Sporting a blazer and jeans, and standing in front of 5,000 supporters at Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska, Palin delivers a goodbye address packed with rambling sentences, confusing references ("In the winter time it's the frozen road that is competing with the view of ice-fogged frigid beauty. The cold, though, doesn't it split the cheechakos from the sourdoughs?") and scathing attacks on the media. She touts her achievements in ethics and energy reform, as well as a governorship guided by fiscal restraint. In handing the reigns to Lieutenant Governor Sean Parnell, Palin says she'll be able to fight even harder for "truth" and that she's never needed a title to do that.
