On their third album, the Montreal indie rockers try to top their critically lauded 2008 offering, At Mount Zoomer. With Expo 86 — mostly recorded directly to tape, with few overdubs — Wolf Parade succeeds, from the undeniable groove of "Ghost Pressure" to the jagged guitar of "What Did My Lover Say? (It Always Had to Go This Way)."
