Although she wasn't voted into American Idol's final round in Season 3, Jennifer Hudson wowed the judges so much that she was brought back as a wild card and made it into the top seven before she was again voted off, this time by the show's audience. How did Hudson respond? She went on to star in the hit film Dreamgirls, for which she won an Oscar, a Golden Globe, BAFTA, Screen Actors Guild and NAACP Image Award. She also went on to play a supporting role in Sex and the City: The Movie and her debut CD won a Grammy for Best R&B album. What else? She got engaged and had a baby boy before recently shedding some pounds as WeightWatchers' new spokesperson. Though the singer suffered a family tragedy when her mother, brother and nephew were murdered in 2008, she has shown no indications of a professional plateau.
