It's hard to miss the company's ubiquitous kiosks where language CDs are sold, but now Rosetta Stone also offers a full Web-based language-learning program. Sign up, and become part of an online class with a native-speaking coach and other Web students. You can choose a class time that's convenient, and communication is through an inexpensive computer microphone. When you speak, the teacher and students can correct your pronunciation. Outside of class hours, you can play language games with other Web students and chat with them via an AIM-like pop-up feature. The one-year program is expensive though likely much less than a language class.
