If the new Miles Davis box set lands on your shelves this season, it will probably break them. This collection has everything, literally, that Davis ever recorded for Columbia: 70 CDs' worth of material. Of course, anyone interested in such a set probably has a few Davis albums already, so Columbia/Legacy has loaded each disc with bonus tracks and thrown in a DVD and a 250-page booklet. At $369.98 (available only on Amazon), that works out to about $5 a disc. A bargain, until you factor in the cost of new shelves.
