What's in a name? A half-million bucks, according to a hopeful suburban New York couple. In 2001, Jason Black and Frances Schroeder offered the naming rights to their unborn son on eBay. For $500,000, they would commit to naming him after virtually any company or product. Gun and cigarette makers were out, but Black said "Budweiser" was a potential go: "My wife and I would have to sleep on it and see the ramifications," he said. Turns out that wasn't a dilemma they had to resolve; the couple had no takers and named him Zane, for free.
