The Club For Growth, a conservative group that usually focuses its fire on moderate Republicans, has put $1.2 million into an ad campaign that deploys a bit of old-fashioned Anglophobia, contrasting the British and American flags and health care systems. The ads are being run in the states of key swing vote members of the Senate, including Colorado, Arkansas and North Dakota. Current health-care legislation does not propose a government-run single-payer plan like that used in the UK.
