Sergio Garcia is currently saddled with the most unenviable title in golf: the best golfer to never have won a major. He must have thought he would break the streak at Carnoustie in 2007. Garcia was coasting, with a six-shot advantage over Padraig Harrington at the start of play on the final day, but Harrington clawed his way back into contention. On the 18th, though, the Irishman double-bogeyed. Needing only a par to win, Garcia found a bunker and two-putted, forcing a four-hole playoff. Harrington prevailed, becoming the first Irishman in 60 years to win the Open.
