National Geographic's "Untold Stories of D-Day"
This interactive presentation offers a broad look at the invasion, from the miltary's use of code words like "bigot" to discuss D-Day plans to the annual trek that World War II vets make each year to the site where so many comrades lost their lives. The film is narrated by journalist Thomas B. Allen, who interviewed dozens of veterans and, as luck would have it, happened to encounter several survivors of the U.S.S. Corry, an American ship sunk on D-Day.
