People actually care about design. I hate to say it, and it sounds like I'm not answering your question. But the fact that design is being brought into it is my favorite part about technology now.
E-Readers
If we take the same digital content that is already online and you're able to read in between work or transiently, and you put it into a form factor that is much more dedicated to, say, reading, things will change, and people will pay.
Tablets Everywhere
Remember Star Trek: The Next Generation? One of the things they did implicitly was this idea of a tablet. They didn't call attention to it; they just had lots of them all over the place. They treated them like separate sheets of paper. You are now going to want lots of these all around. I want to be able to pull off a virtual sheet of this tablet.
