Mitt Romney is appropriately known as "Javelin," once a model of car made by American Motors, where Romney's father was chief executive, and an Olympic event (Romney stewarded the winter games in 2002). Rick Santorum's codename "Petrus" is just as apt. It's the latin derivation of Peter, which was (more or less) the name of his grandfather, one of his sons and, incidentally, the first Pope. (He's Catholic.) Its literal translation is "rock," which would put Santorum on even ground with his wife, whom he recently described as "the rock which I stand upon."
