After, oh, the millionth time I saw a variation of this beer-ad campaign eight years ago, I was pretty certain it could never make me laugh again. But this repurposed-for-Obama update (emphatically not sponsored by Anheuser-Busch) is not only funny, it also amazingly manages to be poignant. (The Katrina reference has special oomph in an update of an ad with an African American cast.) The ending is heavy-handed, but not enough to kill the comic effect of turning the ad's catchphrase into a primal scream. How could McCain not have gotten the talking frogs to do a rebuttal?
