Mark Halperin:
Lovely and classic dress in the signature color of the night red as well as following the off-the-shoulder trend. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her usual partiality to excess detailing on the top. The draping on the bottom, however, is elegant and flattering. Hair and make-up, per usual, shows off her strong features and full lips.

Joe Klein:
Wow. As red as Bette Davis's dress would have been in Jezebel, if the movie hadn't been in black and white. I like the Calpurnia toga look, with the diagonal rose vine. I also like the austere, no neck-jewelry. Très classique! Trouble is, I just can't abide Anne Hathaway. On screen, too many emotions, too obviously expressed, for too little face.
