Brooke White
Hero
Brooke should cling on to that grand piano for as long as she remains in the competition. There's something tentative and awkward about her when she's exposed on stage; she seems to gain confidence from having that giant shield of wood and ivory in front of her. Not her best vocal—Brooke's voice is too thin a cracker to carry the gooey dip of a Mariah power ballad—but her best, most emotionally connected performance in several weeks.
