By the time this medley started the theater was clearing out thanks to Kanye West's open invitation to an after-party on the 32nd floor. Nobody missed much. Furtado did a piece of her song before Timbaland came out and did a piece of his and Timberlake phoned in a few bars of two of his hits — no doubt he was rushing back up to the real party upstairs. Like the show it closed, a formless and passionless performance.
