Rudy Giuliani

"A gallon of milk is probably about $1.50, a loaf of bread about $1.25, $1.30."
Giuliani, responding to a pop quiz about the cost of living during a campaign stop in Alabama. His answers led several media outlets to suggest that the New Yorker had evidently not shopped for groceries since the 1980s. In Manhattan, a gallon of milk is more than $4 and a loaf of white bread goes for around $3. In Montgomery, Ala., a gallon of milk goes for about $3.39 and bread is about $2.
