Bob Avian's remounting of the groundbreaking Michael Bennett musical was too faithful to the original (Avian was the show's co-choreographer back in 1976) to get the appreciation it deserved, and the adequate but unexciting cast didn't help much. But if "revival" means helping us relive the excitement of seeing a great show for the first time, this one was a winner.
Tony Outlook: The smart money is on Company, but don't count the high-steppers out.
