Well, it was hard to avoid that thought as Dawson, the old Hogan's Heroes co-star and onetime regular on The Match Game, made it his signature to kiss every female contestant full on the lips. Still, he made his family guests feel like celebrities, and — in a game that prized not what you knew, but your ability to guess what other people knew — tried hard not to snicker when they couldn't think of four things that you keep on top of your dresser.
Dawson died on June 2, 2012, from complications related to esophageal cancer, at age 79.
