The Top 10 Cars from the 2012 Detroit Auto Show
Nissan Pathfinder
A traditional favorite for suburbanites, the Pathfinder is switching this year from old fashion body-on-frame structure to uni-body construction, reducing its overall weight significantly, which produces a 25 percent increase in fuel economy. Reduced weight, coupled with a new V6 engine, yoked to a new continuously variable transmission, makes it one of the most fuel-efficient seven passenger vehicles on the market. The structural re-think also enables a sleeker, more contemporary exterior design and produces a better ride quality. The Pathfinder also features as four-wheel drive and towing capacity competitive with other vehicles in the segment.
