Russia Launches a Manned Rocket in a Snowstorm

A Soyuz-FG rocket booster with Soyuz TMA-22 space ship sits on the launch pad, prior to its launch at the Russian-leased Baikonur cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, 14 November 2011. The rocket is carrying US astronaut Dan Burbank and Russian cosmonauts Anton Shkaplerov and Anatoly Ivanishin on a mission to the International Space Station. After being delayed since September because of safety concerns, the rocket blasted off under cover of heavy snow.
