Celebrating the Death of Osama bin Laden

Students gathered at the fence on the north side of the White House, posed for photographs, chanted "U.S.A.! U.S.A.!" and sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" after President Obama announced the death of bin Laden in a late-evening statement to the press from the East Room of the White House.
