In April 2008, the prince invited Kate to attend his graduation from the Royal Air Force flying school. Prince Charles and Lady Sarah McCorquodale, William's aunt, also attended, suggesting that Kate had solidified her position within the royal family. William, 25 at the time, described his experience of flying alone as an "amazing" feeling. "Going solo is one of those things—if you had a list of the top 50 things to do before you die, it would be in there," he said. Judging from this photo, though, "solo" is only for the skies.
