Ken Turns 50

The 1970s were an interesting decade for Ken, who went through a few drastic changes in appearance, especially hairstyles. In 1973, Mattel introduced Mod Hair Ken, the first Ken doll with rooted "real" hair, which actually came with straight or curly hairpieces and attachable facial hair (mustache, beard and sideburns).
