Lampedusa Flooded by Tunisian Migrants

After it became clear that the Jasmine Revolution would lead to a change in governments in Tunisia, thousands of Tunisians fled their country. In less than a week, more than 4,000 illegal immigrants arrived on the shores of Lampedusa, a small Italian island between Sicily and Tunisia. In this photo, some of the migrants look at the view from from a hill by a temporary immigration center.
