At the Olympics 2000 in Sydney

Bell photographed Brazil's Ronaldo da Costa in 1998 when he was the marathon world record holder and building himself a new house. Since then, da Costa has had to go into hiding following three kidnap attempts. Unable to train safely, he has not qualified for this year's Olympics.
