After U.S. soldiers patrolling Tikrit have left the scene, Iraqi children hold up pictures of Saddam Hussein, prodded by their parents to show loyalty to the former dictator. U.S. war planners believe that as long as Saddam is at large, he will continue to galvanize his followers. "Until the myth dies,² says Lieut.
