Unlike many other TV couples of the time, Samantha and Darrin shared a bed. But then again, she was a witch, not a mere mortal. Herman and Lily of The Munsters also slept on the same mattress; of course, they too were not human. Yet before separate beds had become the television norm, the most definitely human characters (and real-life married couple) who headlined the late-1940s show Mary Kay and Johnny (one of TV's earliest sitcoms) shared one.
