Lomonaco, normally in the kitchen on the 106th floor by 8:15 a.m., stopped in the building's subterranean mall on the morning of September 11 to buy this pair of glasses. His restaurant lost 79 employees.
"Five minutes more, and I would have been in the elevator. You develop a feeling of family in the restaurant business because of the long days and nights. Losing those members of my restaurant family has been devastating."
