Slipped into the German automaker's model line in 2010, the S400 returns for 2011 with some minor modifications. The big and luxurious S400 has a hybrid power train, which includes a lithium-ion battery, and gets 19 m.p.g. in the city and 25 m.p.g. on the highway. Technology from the S400, like the start-stop function that turns off the engine while it is idling, is being transferred to other Mercedes vehicles this year. The starting price for the S400 is $87,950, and it comes very well equipped.
