Days with My Father
After I began to publish these photos, I was surprised and overwhelmed by the way in which people interacted with my story. The site has been viewed by over 1.5 million people, and there are around 20,000 comments. I, personally, have gotten about 10,000 e-mails from people — lovely, honest, extraordinary e-mails. To me, in an odd way, all this is as important as my own story. It was entirely unexpected, and so helpful in dealing with the feelings of loss over my dad.
