Franklin D. Roosevelt: 1882-1945

Fifty years in the making, the memorial to Franklin Roosevelt on Washington, D.C.'s National Mall bears tribute to FDR's ideals of economic and social justice. At a dedication ceremony opening the site in 1997, President Clinton said that Roosevelt's efforts in fighting the Depression and bringing an end to World War II made him "the greatest president of this great American century."
