Shooting for the Stars
When asked about his lifelong fascination with space, photographer Soluri, shown here during a portrait session with astronaut Grunsfeld, says, "The engineering and technology at NASA is amazingly impressive and precise, but it has always been the people who work at space exploration that inspires me. A sense of discovering that in the quest for the stars, it is the few that benefit the many." He is currently working on a book about his photography of the space program, Infinite Worlds, that highlights his two-year documentation of the labor force of the last shuttle mission to the Hubble space telescope.
