At the Northeast Chicken Stock, chicken owners gather to trade eggs and buy birds. Among those attending was Jim Mancini, a waiter in Philadelphia with 15 chickens, who traded this bantam Serama rooster he raised for half a dozen chicks. "I can't keep roosters in the city," said Mancini as he reluctantly parted with the bird. "They're too noisy."
