From 1955 to 1960, Richard Green played the philanthropic bandit on the British series The Adventures of Robin Hood. To work on the show, producer Hannah Weinstein hired several writers who had been blacklisted in the U.S. as communists during the reign of the House of Representatives' Committee on Un-American Activities.
