In her breakout role, Jane Lynch plays Sue Sylvester, the derisive coach of McKinley's cheerleading squad, the Cheerios. After the school principal decides to shift funds from the squad to Will Schuester's glee club, she plots numerous ways to undermine the club's musical ambitions in an effort to restore her squad's dry-cleaning budget.
