The death of Epstein opened the door to a nettlesome discussion of who would handle the band's affairs going forward. Paul favored bringing in the father and brother of his soon-to-be wife Linda Eastman, above at right, while John advocated for Allen Klein, who, though of dubious reputation, had handled acts like Sam Cooke and the Rolling Stones.
