This time around, it is Sam Worthington, of blue-skinned Avatar fame, who dons a sword and shield as the hero Perseus. The computer-generated Kraken looks much more intimidating than its stop-motion predecessor, but the verdict is still out on whether this film holds up to the iconic '80s original.
