Dazed and Confused
Addicted to butane lighter gas, Nobby bicycles around to various areas and shops to buy his supplies. Once he has been detected, shopkeepers refuse to sell to him — it is illegal to sell butane gas in large volumes without a license. The heavy toll of addiction is reflected in the fates of the people Moxon photographed. Only a very few have managed to get clean, while four have died: three from drug-related causes, and one by murder.
