Jamie Foxx stars in this box office hit portraying the first 30 years of the life of R&B great Ray Charles. Foxx's performance garnered him many nominations and wins, most notably the Academy Award for Best Actor. Ray Charles was set to attend the opening of this film but died before the movie's premier.
