Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire?: Reality Train Wreck
Fox's Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire? offered viewers a grossly simple premise: 50 women compete in a series of beauty-pageant-inspired obstacles for the chance to marry a bona fide rich guy, Rick Rockwell. The winning bride and Mr. Millionaire are then immediately married onstage, Las Vegas–style. It's all very quaint. Sadly, what seemed like such a good idea at Fox headquarters turned sour soon after the show ended, when reports began surfacing of Rockwell's true identity as a not-quite millionaire with a restraining order against him. The winning bride, Darva Conger, quickly annulled the marriage and went on to pose nude for Playboy magazine.
