MTV Cops
"In the Air Tonight" never sounded as good as it did on the night of September 16th 1984. As the unlikely team of Sonny Crockett and Tubs (Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas) got to know each other over drug busts and hot wheels, America was bearing witness to television's new bro-cop mega hit. Miami Vice lasted for five years, growing stale and formulaic by the end. But in 1984, it did feel like we'd been waiting for Crockett and Tubs all our lives.
