In 2007 Isabella Blow killed herself after being diagnosed with cancer. McQueen was devastated by her death and dedicated his 2008 Spring/Summer show at Paris Fashion Week to his dear friend. This butterfly headdress, made in collaboration with milliner Philip Treacy, was a critical favorite from that collection.
